Some More Customization For Your Blog

This is one of many tutorial on customizing your blogger blog we have share. Check out below some of awesome customization you would like to implement on your blog.

How And Why To Put Your Picture Beside Your Blog Link In Google Search Reasults

google authorization put up picture beside blog link google search results
One of the most important ways to generate viewership to your blog and increase its' click-through rate is to put up your picture beside your blog link in Google search results. This method develops trust in the eyes of the viewers and they are more compelled to open up your blog then they would have been without the picture there. Formally known as Google Authorization, this is among the major blogging tips that can increase the exposure to your blog content and can greatly increase your blog ranking from Google's point of view. Today, we'll take a look at how it's done.
The process basically is about telling Google you're the author of the blog. Google will then display your Google+ profile picture beside your blog link in search results. The complete procedure can take you about 5 minutes. However, its implementation from Google's side usually takes around 5-7 days but may even take months to complete. It mainly depends upon how often Google crawls your page. All you need to have for the procedure is a verified Google account along with a Google+ profile. The process becomes simpler if you have a verified email@yourDomain but is also possible without it. Let's take a look at both the cases.

NOTE: Make sure your Google+ profile picture is square i.e. length = width in pixels. Google will reject a rectangular picture for this purpose.

Case 1: If you DON'T have an email@yourDomain

If you don't have an email@yourDomain, some manual HTML editing needs to be performed on your blog to authorize it with your Google+ profile. The procedure is as under:
  • Step 1: Open up your blog's design code and add a 'rel=author' type link to your Google+ profile there. You can add up the link anywhere on the blog but the About pages are usually a good spot for such. The link is provided below, replace PROFILE_URL with your profile address and add it to your blog.
  • <a href="PROFILE_URL?rel=author">Google+ Profile</a>
An example of the complete link tag is shown below.
    <a href="https://plus.google.com/u/0/123456789012345678900?rel=author">Google+ Profile</a>
  • Step 2: Navigate to your Google+ profile and edit the Links category.
  • google+ links category
  • Step 3: Link your blog to your profile under the Contributor To option using theAdd custom link option.
  • add contributors google+ add custom linkEnter the exact URL of your blog and give it a label.
And that's probably it. You're done!

Case 2: If you have a registered email@yourDomain

If you have a registered email ID email@yourDomain, you can use the formal Google Authorization feature to automatically authorize your blog with Google. Proceed to the steps:
  • Step 1: Navigate to your Google+ profile.
  • Step 2: In the About page, edit your contact information and add and verify your email@yourDomain.
  • Step 3: Link your Google+ profile with your blog here. The site would basically require you enter that email@yourDomain there.
  • google authorization
  • Step 4: Navigate to your profile and check the Contributor To field in the Links section. Your blog would be added there. If it isn't, add it manually as shown in the above case.
google+ contributor to

That's it. Google now knows the authorship of your blog and your Google+ profile picture will be displayed along with your blog link in the search results. However, it might take some time to Google to actually set that up but the work on your part is done.

Why is it important?

You might be wondering, is it really important for me to do all this? The answer is YES. Adding up your picture proves you're trustworthy, the viewer will definitely be clicking on your blog link which will naturally be preferred over the others. You can easily catch user's attention with a picture than with just words in a search result. The picture helps you establish a sense of connection with the viewer and well, all this also directly and positively affect your blog's ranking owing to its direct relation with the CTR. Moreover, you also need to give yourself or your brand more exposure in the competitive market and the picture can easily do that for you. Guess the time is right to humanize your blog.

The process is simple and works easily on Blogger blogs. Go try it out and let us know about your experiences. Don't hesitate to ask any questions, we'd be glad to help.

Simple and cool tricks With chrome Tool devolper

 Chrome Developer Tool
As you probably know, there is a button on the right-click menu of Google Chrome and IE 10+ called ''Inspect element''. This the developer tool. And you can have a lot of fun with it. I'll give you two examples on how to use it in this tutorial.

1. Change the text of a webpage:

You can have fun on webpages just by changing the value of a <span> (a text label). For example, go on the 4shared.com site (a free file sharing site). Then create an account if you don't have one (or just connect with Google, Facebook or Twitter). When you are done, upload something that is heavy (more than 100 MB) by dragging and dropping it on the home page of 4shared. Then you can see an uploading status window on the screen. So right-click on the percentage and click on ''Inspect element''. Now you can see a little window that appears on the bottom of the web browser. There are to ways : either you got the number or you got the % symbol. If you got the number, try to find the symbol below. Then double-click on it and type what you want (Eg: '',000,000 dollars in my bank account'')

google chrome tricks

2. Get a Non-Crypted password in JS/PhP code:

Some sites are not very safe and just verify the password directly in the PhP/JS code. Then, even if it become rare, you can get the password. Just follow these steps :

  1. Find the login form on the website you want to hack
  2. Right-click on it and then click on ''Inspect element''
  3. Search on the window that appeared ''<form'' and then ''action=''
  4. After it, there is a URL, If it ends by ''.js'', just copy it and paste it in the URL bar of your browser
  5. If it ends by ''.php'', type ''view-source:'' before pasting the URL
  6. Then search something like ''password'' in the code.
WARNING: This method works better with JS than with PHP. Sometimes, there is no URL after ''action='' but just a JS function. Then you have to press Ctrl+U to see the source and search for ''password'' in the whole code.

Tricks and Treats to Scare up Engagement for Your Halloween Social Media

Halloween is huge and has become an adult party holiday with costume contests, haunted houses and millions being spent every year on even more elaborate decorations and costumes, so how can your business get in the conversation?
Here are 6 ideas so scary, they just might work.

1) Host a Halloween event with a social media component

Any business can host a Halloween themed party. Adding a social media twist to it can knock the bats out of the belfry. Using Facebook to promote the event will naturally generate buzz and sharing photos leading up to the event can increase engagement. Using the Facebook Event screen will help track attendees. If you have a Pintersest account, Obviously you want to post photos of the event. Using Google+ you will promote the event from an SEO standpoint. Since Google+ is best used as a microblog, you will use keywords and provide lengthier content than what is used on Facebook.
Example: The Scottsdale Valley Ho, a trendy hotel is hosting festivities and is utilizing social media to engage and attract attendees.

2) Hold a costume contest

Halloween festivities aren’t the same without a costume contest right? Having a prize for the best costume and then you can add an additional contest using pinterest with a voting option so people can post their most creative costume photos and others can vote on them and the one with the most likes will win a prize.
Example: PetSmart effectively held a costume contest and stayed true to their brand image, asking people to submit photos of their pets in cute costumes.  The contest’s winning prize was an appearance in a TV commercial.

3) #HaveAHorrificHashtagContest

Hashtags are very effective on Twitter and Google+ for finding content based on those keywords. I don’t have to tell you how creating a specific hashtag for the event can help promote and expand the reach to a wider audience. Tweeting it out often, several times a day during the peak hours of 9am – 3 pm EST can help the possibility of retweets even from people who may not even go to the event. Nonetheless, its getting you on more timelines and generating more buzz.
ExampleBudwiser used #Whatever for a contest and #Rolloutthered for a more recent campaign.

4) Halloween Scary Movie Contest

There are two options here. The simple one is to simply engage fans to list their top 5 movies and then a list will be compiled and voted on by users on a future date. The second option is to have fans create a short film (2-3 minutes long) and post on your page and allow others to vote on them with the most liked film earning a special prize.
Example: I haven’t seen this done before. If you go with option 2, you could specify that they need to incorporate your product or service in the movie.

5) Engage Facebook fans with images

We all know that Images are a proven tactic for attracting attention to your website, Twitter timeline or Facebook page.  It’s funny, because not all images are created equal. I worked with a recent client who only gave me beautiful yet boring stock photos and then complained that people weren’t engaging, sharing or commenting. well duh! The images have to show something that is worth talking about. Images that show real people engaging or a funny meme or inspirational quote that touches people. Post images wishing people a happy holiday (using the name of the holiday rather than chickening out and being generic). Wish people a happy Friday, but I digress.
Example: Raven Events effectively uses photos to promote her Halloween Parties which have helped the attendance and buzz to increase each year for 9 years

6) Do a tweet-vote

Using twitter can be more tricky than a treat because the feed moves so fast and people aren’t checking it as often as oh say Facebook for example. It behaves more like a news feed . So be prepared to tweet often between the peak hours of 9am – 3pm EST to get traction from your efforts. Naturally, a tweet-vote can help you earn new followers and engage your current ones.   For Halloween, you could have followers vote on the costume contest you held in your office, which has the added bonus of humanizing your brand. You could create a tweet to unlock, like I have successfully done for pricing specials where once we received a certain number or retweets, the promo was unlocked/revealed.You could do the same with the winning costume or the MOST Horrific image, etc.
Example: Paramount’s Paranormal Activity 3 ran a “Tweet To See It First!” campaign, giving fans the opportunity to decide what 20 cities the film would debut in.
So there you have it. A few social media ideas to scare up some more engagement for your brand.
